Drivers Run: A Stunning New Build

A recent job that has turned a lot of heads is this one we did out at Drivers Run.

Starting with a pretty speccy location with amazing views to Mount Barrow, we created a family friendly abode designed by St Helen’s based architect Jennifer Binns that brought together functionality and modern aesthetic in a truly unique way.

The owner wanted low maintenance, open-plan living, with plenty of natural light. The Complete Renovations and Constructions team took the brief and ran with it delivering many unique features including: a polished black concrete floor throughout, earthy timber joinery using Blackwood supplied by the owner, all drinking water is supplied through rainwater tanks, solar panels, and large glass panes to gain plenty of thermal heat in the cement slab. Other features of the design included benchtops of various finishes including Blackwood, Staron and Laminex, a dedicated sewing room, theatre room and outdoor area.

The end result has impressed the owner who commented, “Throughout the build, Kim, Josh and the team were incredibly in-tune with the vision of the house and how it would look, and function, once complete.  All-in-all, Complete Renovations and Construction have helped achieve my dream home and one that we can enjoy as a family for many years to come.  Thank you, our dream has become reality.”

Some of our latest work

When you’re building some of Tasmania’s most amazing houses, words don’t do it justice. So we thought we’d shine a light on some of the great work that our lads have been working on these past few months. Enjoy!

The Complete Renos Team

One of the things we consistently hear from our clients is how impressed they are with our team of builders. How good they are at their work. How kind and genuine they are. How respectful they are towards clients and their property. These kinds of qualities are what makes us stand out from our competitors and we do our best to maintain this reputation.

So what do the Complete Renos team of tradies look like? A bit like this…

Binalong Shack Transformation

Some have it tough. Smoko whilst watching a pod of whales cruise on by. A quick dip in the ocean after a hard day’s work. I mean really, they call that work? Lucky for Josh and Bryton, these two have it made out at Binalong Bay for the next several months. Watch this space as they transform what is currently a 1-bedrooom shack into a 3-bedroom palace complete with new bathroom, kitchen, living – the lot. This tiny shack has been owned by one family for two generations but is about to get a complete makeover to suit the next generation coming through. Mind you, we are keeping some of the old world charm that this place oozes. The fireplace, for instance, has some pretty unique rock art that will be retained.

Located in a prime location this place is seriously paradise – riiiiight on the edge of Binalong Bay. Can’t wait for the “after” shots.

Fresh Start in Carrick

We’ve got the boys all over the place at the moment. We’re starting this one from scratch in the quaint little village of Carrick. This family will soon be living in a brand spanking three bedroom house with an expansive rural outlook. Just 17kms from Launceston, this is easy living at its best.

Transforming a Western Red Cedar Cottage

A little while back we told you about a reno we were doing in Riverside. We’ve now completed the job and the result is impressive. Our client had a pretty clear idea of what the end result would look like but we were all pretty surprised with just how good that timber came up. The recycled timber barn door was definitely a winning feature.

Indoor/Outdoor Living at Relbia

One of the biggest jobs we’re doing at the moment. This is a 16 square metre extension for an indoor/outdoor living area. The finished result will have an 8-ball pool room, sauna, gym, spa, swimming pool and entertaining area. Complete with polished concrete floors, the owners have sought recycled timber trusses for the framework which give the renovation that extra edge.

Riverside Reno

We’re currently working on an exciting project in Riverside. This is stage two of a job we did for this family last year. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry are getting an overhaul and the Complete boys are getting stuck into the demo work like ducks to water. Should be a pretty schmick result. See some of the progress pics.

Georgian-style cottage on Frankland

We recently finished a project in Frankland Street, Launceston. A 1980s red brick house was converted to a Georgian-style cottage. It was quite a transformation as we demolished the top level of this house and re-modelled it to become three new bedrooms, a living room, library, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Downstairs also saw a new kitchen installed and a bathroom.
